Welcome to the Tenbury Wells 2017 Mistletoe Festival!

Tenbury Wells, the Capital of English Mistletoe, annually celebrates it unique heritage with Mistletoe by holding a Mistletoe Festival on the first Saturday in December.


Festival day is Saturday 2nd December

Come and join us and our volunteers for a day of family fun.   Below is listed some of the the attractions. Come a long and see for your self and join in with the day!


Day Starts at 11.00 am

Out side the Regal with the crowning of this years Mistletoe Queen

The Holly Prince will then escort the Queen to the Mistletoe Kissing Tree to open the Kiss-a-thon!


 Mistletoe Kiss-a-thon

(Outside S.E.N.S.E Temeside house)

Last year (2016) we recorded 250 people kissing in our official kiss-a-thon! This year we will have the official Mistletoe Kissing Tree and we hope to get more people kissing under the mistletoe than ever before!

Come and join us and share a kiss with that someone special

 

At S.E.N.S.E

Local willow artist Zoe Disley will be helping children create their very own willow Christmas tree decorations. (This is a free event)

From 1.30pm, Author and illustrator Helen Wendy Cooper will be reading an original story, written especially for the Festival based around Mistletoe followed by creative activities .

S.E.N.S.E also hosts the Mistletoe Shop for all types of Mistletoe products.


At the Library

From 10.30 Helen Wendy Cooper, author of The Vegetarian Vampire book series and Shapeland and judge for CITV’s Share a Story programme,will be promoting and singing copies of her latest book Rudy the reindeer.


Market Stalls

Throughout the day there will be market stalls for your enjoyment out side S.E.N.S.E. Teme Side House, Teme Street and at the Pump Rooms. Stalls will cover a variety of arts and crafts and other products. , A well as a Christmas Bric-a-brac market at the Kings Head (12 noon - 6pm).

Market Stalls out side of S.E.N.S.E will feature:

Chocolate Falls and Candy Calls

Local company AppleTeme will be selling a variety of warm apple drinks.

Tarot and Angle Card reading.

The Druids Thanksgiving Ceremony

This will take place at 14:00 hrs on The Burgage- All are welcome

 

Throughout the Day


Mistletoe songs will be heard throughout the day as well as pop up acts.

Plenty of local shops, cafe’s and pubs waiting to welcome all.


Road closed 4.30 – 5.30pm for our Chamber of Trade Santa Parade.
