Tenbury wells Mistletoe Festival 2018

Tenbury Wells, the Capital of English Mistletoe, annually celebrates it unique heritage with Mistletoe by holding a Mistletoe Festival on the first Saturday in December.

This year that will be Saturday 1st December
National Mistletoe Day

and is exciting as ever!

Get berry merry between 10am until 6pm, enjoying a massive selection of indoor and outdoor events including, Morris dancers, willow craft making, crowning of the Mistletoe Queen, Holly Prince, Mistletoe Maidens and Holly Henchmen, market stalls, Men in Harmony male choir, story tellers and so much more!

At 16:30pm, the Santa parade will begin, leading Santa, his horses and friends, through Tenbury Teme Street, leading to St Mary’s Church. Once Santa has dismounted, he will be greeting children in the grotto with gifts, asking for a small donation only in return.

Before the parade starts, get your lips puckered up and your Christmas spirit raring, as the Kiss-a-thon needs you! Just 6 seconds of your time and a kiss under the mistletoe, will help Tenbury compete in breaking a world record!

A special Christmas workshop will be taking place in Tenbury Library with author, illustrator and writing judge Helen Wendy Cooper at 11am.

It includes a reading of The Kissing Tree (Tenbury’s own children’s book, sponsored by Tenbury Mistletoe Association and written by Helen), poems, a book signing and creative crafts!
